Belleville School of Ballet

The most important aspect of any dance study is the quality of the instructor. The instructors should always have the best possible training, be experienced as a teacher, and be interested in the welfare of their students. BSOB is staffed with the finest teachers who have extensive backgrounds. The aim of our school is to cultivate the appreciation of dance in every student. The studio develops all students whether their goal is for a professional career, cultural enrichment, or personal accomplishment.

Belleville School of Ballet has a group of young non-professional dancers and an experienced group of older dancers who are involved in various performances throughout the year. Performances have included lecture demonstrations for area schools, participation in Illinois Arts Week, dance concerts with The Belleville Philharmonic Orchestra, and the community's annual Nutcracker, which hosts professional dancers from various ballet companies.  In addition, the school hosts guest choreographers to set original and classical ballets for our dancers.

The school ends the dance year with a performance for all students and all levels.  The school offers levels from Tiny-Dancer through Adult, with classes in ballet, pointe, tap, jazz, lyrical, and dance team skills.

The Belleville School of Ballet now offers a Novas Level Competition Dance Team. Our dance team give students an opportunity to perform and compete in local dance competitions.

Thank you for your interest in Belleville School of Ballet.
